Activities: Brockshire Abbey invites all heavy and rapier fighters, archers, cavalry and artisans of Atlantia to join us on September 28, 29 and 30th for a huge demo benefiting the Friends of the Hartsville Memorial Library in Hartsville, SC to be held at Byerly Park in Hartsville, SC.  There is no site fee and camping for all SCAdians is also FREE!!!

 

Although there is no daytrip or site fee, if possible send us an Email and let us know you are coming! With this email send any dayshade sizes, there is plenty of room, and what tournaments and/or activities you would like to participate in.

 

If you can volunteer to help with activities such as marshalling or any demonstrations please let us know. All help will be greatly appreciated!

Martial Activities: These include:

Jousting Tournament and Equestrian Activities

Heavy Combat Tournament

Rapier Tournament

Archery Tournament (including a nighttime archery challenge Friday Night)

 

Arts & Sciences Activities: All artisans, bards and heralds are encouraged to attend and show off and display there skills in their areas of expertise. Hands on demonstrations would be wonderful.

Cost: Because this is a fundraiser for the Hartsville Memorial Library, there will be no charge for SCA participants; however, there is a charge of $4.00 for adults and $2.00 for children for the general public, so bring your membership and fighter authorization cards! 

 

Feast: Served by the wonderful members of Brockshire Abbey, we will be dining by candlelight in the round.  Pre-registration is REQUIRED for anyone interested in attending feast! Feast is a catered meal also used as a fundraiser; therefore, the cost is $12 for members and $15 for non-members.  Reservations must be received by Sept. 20, 2007.

 

Site: Byerly Park, 700 Russell Road Hartsville SC, 29550. 

 

Site Restrictions: Period pavilions and tents are encouraged but modern tenting is permitted.   This is a primitive campsite, Bathrooms but no showers.  No Pets allowed.  This is a Dry Site.

 

Merchants: Merchants are welcome and encouraged. There is, however, a $20 city License fee for all merchants.
